10-11 Age Group - Must have reached 10th birthday, but not 12th birthday, by July 29, 2008.

14-15 Age Group - Must have reached 14th birthday, but not 16th birthday, by July 29, 2008.

16-18 Age Group - Must have reached 16th birthday, but not 19th birthday, by July 29, 2008.

RULES OF GOLF
Play will be governed by the 2008-2008 Rules of Golf as published by the USGA and by the Local Rules as established by the AGA. Questions will be settled by the AGA Rules Committee, whose decision shall be final.

FORMAT
Entries are subject to rejection, or withdrawal, at any time at the discretion of the AGA.

The Championship will be conducted on a stroke play basis for 54 holes, 18 holes daily on July 29-July 31, 2008.

The field will be limited to 156 entries. In the event the Championship is oversubscribed, the AGA reserves the right to pare the field based on a combination of current USGA Handicap Index and how well the player played last year.

There will be four age divisions as described in "Eligibility", with the Champion being the player who posts the lowest 54 hole score from either the 14-15 or 16-18 Age Divisions. Individual age division champions will be those players who post the lowest 54 hole total within their age division. All age divisions will play 18 holes daily, except that Age Division 10-11 will play 9 holes daily.

There will be 156 players at the Championship site to begin play, with a cut to the total field following 36 holes of play (18 holes for the 10-11 Age Division) to approximately 66 players. The number of players making the cut in each age division will be determined by applying to 66 the percentage of players in a particular age division to the overall number of players in the championship, and then accepting ties for the last position within each age division. Additional players within an age group MAY be included if needed to balance groupings, but not if it can't include all players in that age group with the same score.

In the event of a tie for any Champion, there will be a "multi-hole" play-off commencing immediately following play (the holes involved to be determined by the AGA) with the Champion being determined by the lowest total of those holes. If a tie, or ties, still exists, the Champion will then be decided by "sudden death" following the same sequence of holes. After the Champion has been determined, all other ties not yet settled, including those involving individuals participating in the playoff for the Championship, will be resolved by matching scorecards according to the USGA recommendation shown in Appendix I of the 2008-2009 Rules of Golf, How to Decide Ties, page 124(c), except that if the tie still exists, scores for the first 9 holes shall be treated in the same way until a winner is produced. Any remaining ties will be decided by matching scorecards hole-by-hole, beginning at the 18th hole.
