ELIGIBILITY

Entries are open to male, amateur golfers, who are: 1) members of the Alabama Golf Association, and, 2) bona fide residents of the State of Alabama.

Maximum allowable combined team handicap is 16.8 strokes under the terms of the USGA Men's Handicap System. The AGA will be the final authority in determining whether or not a handicap that has been submitted qualifies as an "approved USGA handicap".

In the event a team member is not present to begin play in the Championship, and is not likely to play the majority of the first round, that team will not be allowed to begin play, at the discretion of the AGA.

Entries are subject to rejection, or withdrawal, at any time at the discretion of the AGA.

FORMAT

The Championship will be conducted at 36 holes of Four-Ball Stroke Play, 18 holes daily on Thursday and Friday, limited to 72 teams. In the event the Championship becomes over-subscribed, acceptance of entries will be based on combined handicap of the two team members.  The AGA reserves the right to change the number of teams accepted.

The 16 teams posting the lowest 36 hole totals will advance into single elimination Four-Ball Match Play beginning on Saturday morning.

In the event of a tie, or ties, for the last match play position(s), a "Sudden Death" play-off for that position(s) will commence immediately following the conclusion of the stroke-play portion of the Championship, or as early as practicable.

In the event a match is tied at the conclusion of 18 holes of play, the sides are required to continue play beginning at either Hole #1 or Hole #10 as determined by the Committee for as many holes as are required to decide a winner. In this case the stipulated round is deemed to extend to the number of holes needed to decide the match.

 MATCH PLAY DRAW

Seeding of teams will be determined by order of finish from the 36 hole qualifying, and the pairing for match play will be made in accordance with the recommendations as set forth by the United States Golf Association. Ties will be settled by lot.

CONDITIONS

The AGA Tournament Committee reserves the right to alter any of the conditions and schedules herein. The decision of the AGA in any matter shall be final.
