Alabama Golf Association

The Alabama Golf Association (AGA) is the governing body of amateur golf in the State of Alabama.

Leadership

The AGA is governed by a Board of Directors elected at the annual meeting, at which time a president, vice president, and secretary/treasurer are also elected. Associate Directors are, from time to time, appointed by the president. By majority vote of the Board, a retired director, who has met specific criteria, may be granted the designation of “Director Emeritus.” Both Associate Directors and Directors Emeriti can attend all meetings of the AGA and have voice, but cannot vote.

At times when the full Board of Directors is not meeting, the AGA is governed by an Executive Committee consisting of the President, Vice-President, Secretary/Treasurer, and not less than two, nor more than five, other members of the Board.
